‘Midnight Madness’ is THE best sales night of the Holiday Season for many of our area businesses!  Midnight Madness is the second Saturday of December – SATURDAY DECEMBER 8 – and will run from 6PM-12AM. (Officially. You may choose to start earlier!)  Local merchants will join together on a night that features entertainment, prizes, and discounts to attract local shoppers!

Participation in the event is just $25. You must also provide a prize valued at $20.00 (minimum) to use in the prize packages for the evening; it can be an item, a gift certificate/gift card, even cash.

We strongly encourage businesses to purchase advertising packages from our local media promoters at the Athol Daily News and Bear Country Radio 95.3.

If you don’t have a brick and mortar location along the route we will be arranging pop-up spaces at the Orange Innovation Center and the Athol Area YMCA. Please contact our office for more information.

Please confirm your participation in Midnight Madness by Tuesday, December 5th at noontime. We will be printing shopper maps on Wednesday morning.  To do so, we need you to either register online at northquabbinchamber.com/store or fill out the paper registration form and let us know at the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau [info@northquabbinchamber.com – 978-249-3849].  Checks for the $25.00 participation fee should be made out to the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce and mailed or dropped off at the Chamber Offices at 80 Freedom Street, Athol MA 01331.

Please bring your prize item to the same address as soon as possible. The deadline to receive prizes December 5th at noontime. We are often out of the office, working in the community. Please call our office at 978-249-3849 to check that someone is available to help you. Thank you.

 

 

December 3rd

You MUST REGISTER by Monday, December 3rd at noontime. We need to print shopper maps first thing Wednesday morning and need all information and all vendors.

December 5th

YOU MUST BRING YOUR PRIZE ITEM to OUR OFFICES no later than December 4th by noontime.Your prize item must be worth $20 or more. [you may also choose to pay an additional $20 instead of providing a prize item]

 

December 8th

Midnight Madness Day! Midnight Madness is the second Saturday of December – SATURDAY DECEMBER 8 – and will run from 6PM-12AM. (Officially. You may choose to start earlier!) Many businesses choose to offer increasing discounts (i.e. 10% from 6-7PM—20% from 7-8PM, etc.) Please be sure to tell us what your discount structure will be. Shoppers want to know.  Entry fees are used to offset the costs of advertising, entertainment and shopper transportation.

 

 

While not required, we encourage everyone to DECORATE for the event and offer some refreshments if you like. You can also arrange for your own store’s entertainment. There will be traveling carolers throughout the evening as well as performances at various fixed locations.

You must also provide a prize valued at $20.00 (minimum) to use in the prize packages for the evening; it can be an item, a gift certificate/gift card, even cash.  We strongly encourage businesses to purchase advertising packages from our local media promoter the Athol Daily News and Bear Country Radio 95.3. Both will run specials just for this event.

Your $25.00 fee includes all of the below:

A Cooperative Ad listing your participation in the Athol Daily News.
Weekly updates about the event on Bear Country Radio 95.3.
Placement on the ‘Midnight Madness Map’ directing customers to your business.
Shuttle Bus Transportation to your business area.
Inclusion on the ‘Must Visit Here!’ game for shoppers to win final prizes, ensuring that they come to you.
Mention on our Midnight Madness event page, additional radio advertising, websites, and Social Media Marketing

Please know that cooperative promotion and marketing of this event help make it a success.     This year we are making arrangements for businesses and artisans who don't have brick and mortar storefronts along the shopping route.

  • If you are adding $20 to your registration fee instead of donating an item please write "$20" All prize items must be brought to the Chamber office no later than December 1st unless you have arranged a later date with us.
