Name: A Quabbin Stroll to Dana Center
    Date: November 27, 2020
    Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST
    Event Description:
Quoted as the best historical experience in the Quabbin Reservoir property, the 1.5 mile walk to Dana Center passes through woodlands and open fields leading you to the town common dotted with cellar holes. You'll be able to view photos of what the common looked like before townspeople were ordered to leave in the 1930's for the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir, the source of Boston's public drinking water. This gentle-paced walk will take place on old, unmaintained roads over moderate to level terrain. Primitive facilities available near Dana Center.
PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Groups are limited to 11 pre-registered adults. Participants are required to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. Mass Audubon cannot loan field equipment at this time. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed 24 hours before the program.
