Name: Play:“25 Questions for a Jewish Mother”
    Date: February 2, 2020
    Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST
    Event Description:
“25 Questions for a Jewish Mother”. Back by popular demand on Sunday, February 2, 3 pm (doors open at 2:30 pm) at Stage on Main, 17 South Main Street, Orange, Massachusetts. This award winning play written by Judy Gold and Kate Moira Ryan is part memoir and part stand-up routine, this hilarious and affecting play breaks down just what makes Jewish mothers so lamentable, laughable, and lovable. In 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, comedian Judy Gold and playwright Kate Moira Ryan seamlessly weave actual interviews with Jewish mothers across the United States together with memories from Gold’s childhood and her own experiences as a Jewish mother in order to create a performance piece that explores it all: from rugelach to rabbis, matzoh to marriage, and Ann Landers to Anne Frank. It beautifully shares what is shared across all mothers and what is unique to Jewish mothers. This will again be presented as a readers play. It was held at Stage on Main in the spring of 2019 and had such demand that it will be performed again. Hope you can attend this performance and post performance discussion. Stage on Main is managed by volunteers for all to enjoy the arts in downtown Orange. Admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted. Light refreshments served.
